Frequently Asked Questions

If we haven’t addressed your questions or concerns, please give us a call and we will be happy to talk with you!

Can I take a tour of your facility?
Absolutely! We encourage you to take a tour of our facility at anytime during business hours. No appointment is necessary!
Can I bring my own food?
Of course you can, we actually recommend bringing your pet's food from home to minimize the risk of gastric upset due to a sudden diet change. However, if that’s not convenient we will feed your pet at no additional charge to you.
Can I bring toys and treats from home?
Yes!  We encourage you to bring in anything that would make your pet feel more comfortable in their new “home away from home.” The only exception would be regulation sized tennis balls.
Can I bring my pet's bed from home?
Absolutely! Please bring in your pet's favorite bed, or blanket! Belongings from home will just make your pet's stay more relaxing and comfortable! If you choose not to bring in a bed from home we offer a variety of different options for you to choose from!
What are the vaccination requirements for my pets?
All dogs are required to have current rabies, distemper and bordetella vaccines. All cats are required to have current rabies and distemper vaccines. If any shots for dogs or cats are not current they must be updated at least five days prior to your arrival date.
Can my dogs stay together?
Absolutely! We can accommodate multiple pets of the same family in the same run. If you wish to have your dogs boarded together please let an attendant know at the time you make your reservation.
Can you administer medications?
We routinely administer medications to our guests each and every day. Please discuss any specialized medications at your time of arrival.  We are happy to administer oral medications up to three times per day. The cost for administering oral medication is $.50 per administration. We can administer injectable medications such as insulin up to two times per day. Cost for injectable medications is $3.00 per injection.
Do you offer any activities for my pet during their stay?
YES! We offer a variety of stimulating activities for your pet during their stay. Whether you’re looking for grooming services, training services or a much needed urban walk we have many different activities that will suit your pets’ needs. Learn more on our Activities page.
Do you offer any activities for my cat?
Each cat boarding with us will receive a complimentary playtime once per day in our feline play yards. Additional playtimes can be purchased for your cat for $4.00 per session (maximum of 2 per day).
Can we contact you while we are away?
Absolutely! We would love to hear from you while you’re away. Call anytime during business hours and we will be happy to give you an update. For those of you that have email or texting capabilities, we are happy to send you pictures or a video clip of your pet.
Do you require a deposit when you make a reservation?
In the off season we do not require a deposit to secure your reservation. During our summer season (Memorial Day – Labor Day) we do require a $25.00 deposit on all reservations. All holiday reservations require a deposit of one half of your boarding fees at the time the reservation is made. So if your total bill (excluding activities) for your holiday stay is $200.00 then the deposit when you make your reservation would be $100.00. All deposits are non refundable and non transferable.

Daily Progress Reader's Choice Award 2014 #1 Pet Groomer

Mary Knauf Amiss

"The Dogg House staff exhibits a loving and caring atmosphere. Now, our chow-mixed dog, named Bear, loves all the attention and special care that he gets every time he visits. He is always welcomed and treated with such good care. The Dogg House is clean and organized and the prices are very reasonable. I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving Bear anywhere else. I would definitely recommend the Dogg House to anyone who loves their pet."

Nancy J.

"I have been very pleased for the last 8 years, they have boarded and cut my cocker spaniel and have groomed my hound dog. I am handicapped and many times they have brought the dogs to my car, instead of me going to the office. They are loving people and they take care to make sure the staff loves animals."

Dolly P.

"The Dogg House staff is professional, organized, caring, careful and friendly. My dogs are not reluctant to go there, and always come home healthy and happy. I could not be more pleased with the service."

Joe Fallica

"We have been taking our dogs Max and Toby to the Dogg House for over 12 years and absolutely love and appreciate the entire staff and are sincerely grateful for the way they take care of us. We have always referred and highly recommended the Dogg House to all of our friends and anyone we know – they’re great!!"

Judy & Tom Rikken

"Our Cocker mix, Ashley, tell us she's been to the spa when we pick her up from being groomed at The Dogg House! She is always so proud of her new 'look' when she comes home. We are, too! The staff is always so friendly and we truly feel they go the "extra" mile for Ashley and for us."
